THE PROJECT

Create SMS viral functionality and a user experience for the IOS and Android PurePlay/Rapid Poker app. 

This project is intended to generate new customers through sending out mass text messages on the behalf of the user at any time.

THE CHALLENGE

Create a user experience that not only seemed like it was coming from a friend but also made the user feel safe as they downloaded the app and invited friends to also download the app.

THE SOLUTION

We used a simple design that looked and behaved like the phone the user was using. The text message was friendly and very relaxed as if your friend actually sent it. In order to get permission to send out text messages on the user's behalf and incentivize them to send texts, we rewarded them with virtual poker chips for every friend they invited.

THE TEXT MESSAGE

This text message looks and acts like it came from someone you know asking for help by downloading the app.

BUILDING WEBPAGE

Step 1 – After downloading the app the user logs in using Facebook or as a guest..

Step 2 – The user is then asked a simple yes/no question. This prepares them for step 3.

Step 3– A permission pop up comes up to gain access to the user's friend list.

Step 4 – The user's friend list comes up pre-selecting all their friends. 

Step 5 – This is a reminder pop up if they deselect all the friends that they miss out on the incentive. The user is incentivized to select friends.

Step 6 – Congratulations page shows the total chips added and confirms invite to your friends. Play now puts you on a poker table.
